Terms of work and what I cover

Please read this page before engaging Tiverton Boiler Repairs to carry out work. It sets out what we do, what we don't do, and how the reviews on this site are attributed.

What this business does

Tiverton Boiler Repairs carries out the following services on existing domestic gas heating systems:

• Annual gas boiler servicing (including landlord CP12 gas safety certificates)
• Boiler fault diagnosis and repair
• Servicing and repairs to unvented hot water cylinders, carried out under my G3 qualification
• Smart heating thermostat supply and installation

We do not carry out boiler installations, central heating system replacements, or any work on new-build or conversion heating systems. If you need a new boiler or a full system installation, you'll need to contact a contractor who covers that scope of work.

Service area

We cover Tiverton (EX16) and surrounding Mid Devon locations. Coverage of specific postcodes at the edges of our area is at our discretion — contact us before booking if you're unsure.

Pricing and quotations

We do not publish fixed prices on this website because the cost of any job depends on the system, the fault, and the parts required. We're happy to discuss likely costs on the phone before you commit to a visit. Any parts supplied carry a one-year guarantee; labour warranties are confirmed at the time of the job.

We are not VAT registered.

Gas Safe registration

All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Our Gas Safe registration number will be supplied on request and confirmed on any certificate or service record we issue. We do not publish the registration number on this website.

Reviews: attribution and honesty

The customer reviews displayed on this website come from Thames Boilers, the engineer's previous Gas Safe registered business in Kent. They are not reviews of work carried out in Tiverton or Devon.

We have chosen to display these reviews with clear attribution — showing the customer's name, location and the service they had — rather than presenting them as local feedback. We believe this is the honest approach. If you would like to speak to us before booking, we're happy to answer questions directly.

As local Tiverton reviews are collected, they will be added to the site. Thames Boilers reviews will remain clearly labelled as such.

Limitation of liability

Tiverton Boiler Repairs carries £2m public liability insurance. Our liability for any claim arising from work carried out is limited to the cost of the original job, except where UK law requires otherwise.

We are not liable for pre-existing faults in a system that were not identified as part of the agreed scope of work.
