Thermostat brands I supply and fit

Hive
Hive works with most standard gas boiler systems and has an app that's easy to get to grips with. A good option if you want reliable scheduling without a steep learning curve.
Tado
Tado uses your phone's location to start heating the house as you head home, rather than running to a fixed schedule. Useful if your hours vary.
Honeywell Home (T6/T9)
Honeywell's range of programmable and smart thermostats covers simpler setups where a reliable programmable system is what's needed rather than a full connected app.

Will a smart thermostat work with my boiler?
Most modern condensing boilers are compatible with the main smart thermostat brands. Some older systems may need a different wiring approach or a third-party adapter. Tell me the make and model of your boiler when you call and I'll confirm whether there are any complications.
Which thermostat should I choose?
It depends how you use your heating. If your schedule is consistent, Nest or Hive work well. If your hours vary a lot, Tado's location-based approach suits that better. If you'd rather have a reliable programmable thermostat without the app features, Honeywell is the sensible choice. I'll ask a few questions and recommend one that fits.
Do I need a smart speaker or hub?
No. All the brands I fit work with a smartphone app and don't require a separate hub or smart speaker to function. If you do have an Alexa or Google Home, most of them are compatible — but it's optional, not a requirement.
How long does the installation take?
Most smart thermostat installations take between one and three hours, depending on the existing wiring and whether there are any complications. I'll give you a clearer estimate once I know your setup.
Can you set it up for me after fitting it?
Yes. I connect the thermostat, download the app with you, and set up a basic schedule before I leave. You won't be left with a blinking display and an instruction manual.
What if I have a multi-zone heating system?
Some smart thermostat systems support multiple zones — individual room controls, for example. If you have zone valves or underfloor heating in some areas, mention that when you call and I'll explain what's possible.
